My home town is deep in the Finnish countryside. It is North enough that the landscape sometimes looks like somewhere in Southern Mordor. And there is fairies in the big forests nearby, believe me!
This photo is taken in Easter 2007, when the lake had started to melt and swan couple was migrating back. And yes, there is a man walking on the thin ice. People in this area tend to be foolhardy.
